The Twin Towns of Ballybofey and Stranorlar are divided by one of the best salmon rivers in Ireland, the River Finn. Licences and permits can be purchased locally.

The Twin Towns is a walkers paradise offering everything from a stroll around Drumboe Woods to a hike around Trusk Lough, and for the hill-walking expert, the Bluestack Way offers a 47km hike. Ballybofey and Stranorlar Golf Course is a must for the visiting golfer.
Donegal's oldest theatrical venue, the Balor Theatre offers an intimate venue for drama, music and comedy and is located on the Main Street. The area is of historic interest with the founder of Home Rule, Isaac Butt buried in a local cemetery.
